JEM Holdings is a New York-based real estate investment firm that acquires value-add properties with a specific focus on multi-family in the Southeastern US.

Since 2013, we have acquired over 5,000 multifamily units and two office properties. The current value of our portfolio is over $450 million and we’ve exited investments valued at over $42 million since inception.  Our management team has a combined 20 years of real estate experience and demonstrated expertise in identifying attractive investments, executing efficient transactions, and carrying out its value-enhancing strategies.

JEM is focused on identifying assets which generate healthy in-place cash flow and strong returns through value-add enhancements characterized by cosmetic upgrades, increased property management oversight, accretive financing, capital improvements, and property repositioning/rebranding.

Acquisitions range from $5M-$50M and typically offer economies of scale while still falling below the institutional threshold, thereby limiting competition and providing investors superior risk-adjusted returns. JEM’s objective is to provide its investors with a disciplined underwriting and investment approach, comprehensive management, and institutional quality reporting and transparency.

JEM concentrates on markets that exhibit strong population and job growth, are supply constrained, have diverse and growing economies, and where assets can be acquired at prices below replacement cost. Past acquisitions have been focused in secondary US cities such as Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Augusta, Charleston, Savannah, Myrtle Beach, and Nashville, among others. We’re always searching for new market opportunities.
